Only time will tell...

I have been wanting to update this journal for quite some time now. Not much new has happened since I last wrote so its been tough to figure out an update.

It's Summer Solstice today and a reading I had a while back said there would be a change in my job situation at this point. Yes. There is. The boss I had that I LOVED so much (as a boss) has taken a new job at Electronic Arts... leaving me with his former co-worker who never seemed very warm or friendly.

Today has left me with a very bad impression of her as a boss and this has left me worried that my fairly dream job at SOE is about to turn into a nightmare. It may well cause me to finally kick myself in the butt and start pushing myself to learn new stuff again or to rework on/develop the skills I acquired at school, such as flash programming and flash animation.

So if my job won't push me to learn and grow I have to do it for myself and on my own time. And that I will.

Things I need to do besides flash/after effects is to digitally paint that picture for Brett and his Birthday which is coming up in August. He said he needs it to inspire him. I have to stop being such a whiny baby wanting to paint perfection and just get my fingers to it. Brett will probably love the simple effort anyway. I'll be the one tearing it to pieces.

And I hate to say it but I hardly want to do anything with Poser these days. No real reason except maybe I can't figure out how to push myself to the next level. I haven't even reinstalled it since I reinstalled the OS on my computer (months ago). I even let my membership with DAZ lapse and I'm no longer all hot for the newest latest greatest poser thing. Meh. Makes me a bit sad really -- but this is probably just one of those times that I need to put something down (for a long time some times) before I can pick it back up again and be better than I was before.

Only time will tell.
