Hey all - I'm going to try my hand at digital painting again. I seem for more interested in doing that than even reinstalling poser at this point for some reason. I guess because I know its going to be a pain like always and I have such a hard time keeping my runtime organized and then suddenly I'm all over the place trying to find stuff again. Waaaayyyy too much stuff. Anyway I've joined a new club: :iconcolor-me-club: and I hope to be submitting colorings from that soon. I figure this can help me focus on the painting part (lighting, color, value) and not the drawing part of painting... then incorporate more drawing into stuff I make later. I'll try to start drawing non-digitally again as I know that will help me in this process as well. Wish me luck :)

Support your fellow artists! Fave, watch, feature or suggest a DD!
It's always amazing to see how much beauty and quality on DA is passed by unnoticed and under appreciated. Use the favorites to support the unnoticed or journals, as well as contacting gallery directors to suggest an individual for a Daily Deviation. I do!

In the meanwhile, if you've ever wondered how people get chosen for the daily deviations check this out: help.deviantart.com/18/ click on the link and find out more about this process and maybe nominate some people... I have and actually been successful in campaigning for a DD for others... you can be too! Keep supporting!

The color club...looks like dA's own coloring book group. That's very nice for people wanting to focus just on color than lineart. Between the two, I'm not sure which is more difficult. Although I'm more interested in the coloring aspect as something to try, I don't think I have what it takes, even with photoshop installed. But for you, Trish, I wish you luck, even though I know I don't really need to since your talent is already awesome. :)

For inspiration, I recommend the following deviants: :iconwindriderx23:

That's Jamie Fay, comic lineart specialist who typically teams up with colorist :iconvest:, although Jamie has a few other coloring specialists that he offers for commissions, each with their own coloring styles and prices. I'm not sure if this will help, but it is relevant I think.
